What is a Vampire Facelift?
The Vampire Facelift takes the Vampire Facial a step further. It involves injecting the PRP serum under the skin along with fillers to help refresh, firm and hydrate the skin for a more finished look and feel.
Vampire Facelift Before and After
The research supporting the efficacy of these procedures abounds.
Studies find that:
- Microneedling is effective for treating acne scars
- Vampire Facial & Vampire Facelift techniques are more effective at reducing the scarring and promoting collagen than micro-needling alone.
- Sufficient evidence that they have the ability to treat several skin-related conditions.
And as a bonus,
- Mirco-needling accompanied by Platelet-rich plasma demonstrated an ability to produce new hair growth in alopecia (hair loss) patients.
This last one is important. Even if thinning hair isn’t your concern, this demonstrates the rejuvenating power of these procedures.
What to Expect from a Vampire Facelift or Facial Procedure
For five to seven days after the procedure, your skin repairs itself and replaces dry, damaged skin cells with healthier ones. During this time, your face may feel slightly puffy and irritated.
As that week comes to a close, you begin to see your new and improved appearance emerge. This includes softer, more even skin with a significantly reduced appearance of imperfections. If your skin damage is significant, you may need to a second procedure to realize the full potential of this treatment.
How Are These Procedures Performed?
Step 1: Cleaning & Skin Prep
As we begin your facial, we thoroughly clean your skin to reduce any risk of infection. We then apply a numbing cream that many describe as a simultaneously hot and cold sensation.
Step 2: Drawing & Preparing Platelets
This procedure requires one vial of your blood. Drawing the blood is very quick with only minor discomfort. Once drawn, we go behind the scenes. Using a centrifuge, we separate the blood and prepare it into your very own personalized rejuvenating serum.
Step 3: Relax as the Procedure Begins
You feel minimal if any discomfort during the procedure. We use a micro-needling tool to needle your skin quickly. These needles are tiny, between .2 and .33 mm thick.
Step 4: Apply the Serum
If you’re having a facelift, the Nurse Practiioner injects the serum, which includes the fillers. If you’re having a facial, the serum is applied to your face like a cream.
What is a Vampire Facial?
The Vampire Facial is a natural non-surgical, minimally-invasive procedure. People love it for its potential to:
- Decrease signs of aging
- Tighten skin
- Decrease appearance of scarring
- Rejuvenate skin suffering from imperfections due to acne, burns, keloids, and more!
The Vampire Facial involves micro-needling that prepares the skin to receive a topical serum called PRP. PRP is made by separating platelet-rich plasma from your own blood. The procedure stimulates your body’s production of collagen. It activates your natural ability to heal and rejuvenate damaged skin.
Celebrities like Giselle, Kim Kardashian West, Keira Maguire, Bar Refaeli and Rupert Everett have all had the procedure. It’s growing in popularity in Draper, Utah, the country and the world.
