THE O-SHOT IN DRAPER, UTAH
Hormone-Free PRP, Performed by a Female Nurse Practitioner
A single private appointment using platelet-rich plasma prepared from your own blood, for dryness, sensation changes, discomfort during intimacy, and mild stress incontinence.
WHAT THE O-SHOT TREATS AND HOW IT WORKS
Platelet-rich plasma is used across medicine — orthopedics, wound healing, dermatology — on one consistent principle: platelets carry concentrated growth factors, and delivering those growth factors into tissue supports the body's own repair processes. The O-Shot applies that principle to vaginal tissue, which is why it is sought for concerns that come down to tissue quality: dryness, thinning, changes in sensation, discomfort during intimacy, and mild stress incontinence.
The appointment runs about an hour. Topical anesthetic is applied on arrival and given the full time it needs to work while we draw a small blood sample and process it in-office to concentrate the platelet fraction. The placement itself is brief. There is no general anesthetic, no incision, and no surgical recovery — most women drive themselves home and return to normal activity the same day.
Because the preparation is autologous, the O-Shot is hormone-free. For women who have had a hormone-sensitive cancer, who have been advised against systemic hormone therapy, or who simply do not want to be on it, that removes a barrier that otherwise closes off most of the standard options for genitourinary symptoms after menopause. It is also why the O-Shot combines well with FemiLift: one works through growth-factor-mediated tissue repair, the other through collagen remodeling, and neither requires hormones.
Results develop over weeks rather than immediately, and they vary. Women with milder, more recent symptoms generally respond better than those with longstanding severe atrophy, and the evidence base for PRP in this application is still maturing. We will tell you that at the consultation, and we will tell you if your presentation would be better served by pelvic floor physical therapy or a urogynecology referral instead.

YOUR O-SHOT APPOINTMENT
Private consultation
Free and one-on-one. Symptom history, obstetric and menopausal timeline, medications, and goals. We confirm the O-Shot is the right match before booking anything.
Numbing
Topical anesthetic is applied on arrival and given full time to take effect. Comfort is the priority and we do not rush this step.
Blood draw and PRP preparation
A small sample is drawn and processed in-office to concentrate your platelets. This happens while the numbing takes hold.
Placement
The prepared platelet-rich plasma is placed into the treatment areas. This portion of the visit is brief.
Aftercare and review
Written aftercare and a scheduled follow-up so we assess results at the point where growth-factor-mediated change has had time to develop.

Common questions
O-SHOT QUESTIONS
Common questions before booking an O-Shot in Draper
Change from platelet-rich plasma is gradual because it depends on tissue response to growth factors. Judge results over weeks rather than days. We schedule your follow-up for the point where that window has passed.
Some women see improvement in mild stress incontinence, and the O-Shot is frequently sought for that reason. It is not a substitute for surgical repair in significant prolapse or severe incontinence, and if that is what your history suggests we will point you toward a urogynecology assessment instead.
The O-Shot is hormone-free, which is why many women with a history of hormone-sensitive cancer ask about it specifically. Whether it is appropriate for you depends on your full history and, where relevant, coordination with your oncology team — that conversation is part of the consultation.
Topical anesthetic is applied and given the full time it needs before anything begins. Most women describe pressure rather than pain. We will stop at any point if you are uncomfortable.
Duration varies with your tissue, your hormonal status, and the severity of the symptoms you started with. Many women return on a maintenance interval. You will get a realistic expectation at your consultation rather than a marketing number.
Yes, and many women do. They work through different mechanisms — growth-factor tissue repair versus collagen remodeling — so they complement rather than duplicate each other. We will sequence them appropriately if you choose both.
