MEDICAL DERMATOLOGY IN DRAPER, UTAH
Skin Problems Assessed by a Clinician
Rashes, acne, irritation and lesions evaluated by a nurse practitioner with more than thirty years of clinical medicine — self-pay, with the price known upfront.
A CLINICAL ASSESSMENT, WITHOUT THE WAIT
Dermatology wait times in Utah are long, and a rash that has been there for three weeks is not something most people want to sit on for another three months. La Belle Vie offers medical skin visits for the ordinary problems that fall between a cosmetic appointment and a specialist referral: persistent rashes, unexplained irritation, acne that has not responded to anything from the pharmacy, and lesions that have changed or simply worry you.
Kelly Lance spent more than thirty years in clinical medicine before this practice existed, and that is the background she brings to these visits. A skin complaint is a diagnostic problem before it is a treatment problem — history, distribution, timeline, and what makes it better or worse all matter, and a fifteen-second glance from across a room is not an assessment. You will get a proper one.
We do not bill insurance for these visits. For some patients that is a drawback; for many it is the reason they come, because it means knowing the price before the appointment rather than receiving a statement two months later, and because it removes the coding and authorization friction that slows everything down. You will be told the cost upfront.
There are clear limits and we hold to them. A lesion with concerning features needs a biopsy, and a biopsy needs a dermatologist or a pathology pathway — we refer rather than treat, and we do that promptly. Similarly, complex or systemic skin disease belongs with a specialist. What we offer is competent clinical assessment of common problems, quick access, and an honest answer about whether you need more than we can provide.

Common questions
MEDICAL DERMATOLOGY QUESTIONS
What we can and cannot do
No. Medical dermatology visits here are self-pay, with the cost given to you upfront. For many patients the trade — paying directly in exchange for being seen quickly and knowing the price — is worth it.
A lesion with concerning features needs proper biopsy and pathology, and we refer for that rather than treating it here. Assessing whether that referral is needed is exactly what the visit is for.
Persistent rashes, unexplained irritation, acne that has not responded to over-the-counter treatment, and skin lesions you want assessed. Complex or systemic skin disease belongs with a dermatologist and we will say so.
Usually far sooner than a dermatology wait list. Call the clinic and we will tell you the next available medical visit rather than putting you on a list.
Ask when you call. Whether we are the right setting depends on the complaint and the age, and where a pediatric dermatologist is appropriate we will tell you.
Kelly is a licensed nurse practitioner and prescribes where prescribing is clinically appropriate. Whether medication is the right answer is part of the assessment.
